FAQs

Why is the UNA Marching Pride raising additional funding? The UNA Marching Pride is headed to the big apple to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and could use your help to get there... any why not get an awesome shirt and a little exercise around UNA's beautiful campus while you're at it!

When is the event? Saturday Evening - September 6th, 2025 - Party in Wilson Park starts at 5:00 pm with the races kicking off at 7:00 pm CT

Where is the race? All races will start and finishes adjacent to the Wilson Park off of Seminary Street in beautiful downtown Florence, Alabama

Where do I get my packet? Early Packet Pickup for the Race will be held at Solid Rock Running Company on Friday, September 5th.

Are t-shirts included with registration? Yes, if you register before the t-shirt deadline your exclusive race tee in the size you order is 100% guaranteed! Race T-shirt design will be announced closer to race day!

When is the deadline to register and be guaranteed a t-shirt? End of day August 22nd, 2025. After the deadline, shirts will be available in limited quantities/sizes as you register and can be selected while you check out on a first-come, first-served basis while inventory lasts.

Are there medals? Yes! Prizes and awards will be handed out for the 5K. The top overall female and male runners, and  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals are awarded to the top three female and male finishers in each of the age groups.

What are the age groups? 0-18, 19-35, 36-50, 51-60, 61+

I’d like to participate. Can I just walk?
Absolutely! We always have people who want to walk, so you will not be alone! 

I‘m part of a group that’s running together. Can I pick up everyone’s bib?
Yes! All you’ll need is their full name and everyone will be ready to GLOW on Race Day!

Is there parking? This location has plenty of nearby parking around downtown Florence.

Can my dog come? Yes! Well-socialized and leashed dogs are welcome at the back of the pack.

Are strollers welcomed? Yes, strollers are welcome at the back of the pack. If you are running for a competitve time, please inform us on race day morning so we can add an offset to your start time to account for the  distance to the START line.

Are bikes, hoverboards, scooters, skateboards, push bikes, unicycles or wagons allowed on course?
We’re sorry, but only runners, joggers, walkers, baby strollers/joggers, restrained pets and wheelchairs are allowed.

Where does the 5K Course go? The course will connect and tour through the beautiful UNA Campus




Do the courses have hills? There are some small hills in the course, but nothing challening above a 10% grade 

Where do race proceeds go? This is a charity event, with proceeds for the benefit of the UNA Marching Pride's Band

What if I can't be there in person, can I still get involved? Yes! You can donate to the UNA Marching Pride Band through their Sponsorship link
